I think it’s safe to say that apart from Mr. Weller and his merry men, The Chords were the biggest and best band to come out of the late 70's Mod revival. They had the look, they had the attitude and they also had the songs. Timeless classics that pack just as much of a punch today as they did 20 odd years ago.

This fantastic release gives us The Chords powering their way through 7 of their best loved tracks that were recorded over two ‘John Peel’ sessions in 1979 and 1980. As a little bonus we’ve also found a track off a Kid Jensen / Mike Read session - the band covering the ‘Who’s classic ‘Circles’ - a true rarity that any Revival fan can not afford to be without.
