DR072 - The Mourning After - Day Tripper Also featuring the Mourning After: DR017 - DR033 DRLP/CD006
What a year for the Detour label - who else can bring you such quality acts such as The Aardvarks, The Apemen and now the legendary Mourning After. Storming back on to the Detour label after their first two hugely successful 7" releases these Sheffield crypt-kickers are here to stay! But wait! Whats that noise? That isnt the gravelly voice of scary man Chris Blackburn on the A-Side - its the sensual tones of Fee - the lovely girl Hammond player. Yep - the A-Side is a storming Garage influenced cover of the Beatles classic, with lashings of Hammond and the spine tingling voice of Fee! The B-Side sees the band go back to their fave style - stomping, quaking, scary Garage with chief ghoul Chris back on vocal duties. Its a winning combination and its all wrapped up in a gorgeous full-colour sleeve!
