Bursting on to the Mod scene in the early 80s Small World recorded their debut "Love is Dead" single for Dan Treacy's cult "Whaam!" label in 1982, this now sells for up to £150.00. Following this they released "First Impressions" on their own "Valid" label in 1983 ... and then ... nothing until the phenomenally successful "Slight Detour" retrospective album and then ..... THIS The first thing you notice when you hear this phenomenal single is that it is vintage Small World. The band have lost none of their songwriting suss, or their power, precision and passion either. The two tracks on here (3 on the CD!) are as catchy as hell, played with real heart and really make you want to scream at the top of your lungs WHY AREN'T THEY HUGE? Having recently wowed an audience at the Royal Albert Hall alongside Paul Weller at a tribute concert for Ronnie Lane, the band are back with a vengeance.
