Detour Records are proud to announce the release of the new Head 7' vinyl EP. 'Music For Intelligent People...and Morons'. The follow-up to the successful release of The Head's 2008 album 'STILL Nothing To Do In A Town Like Leatherhead' featuring the rare collectable single 'Nothing To Do In A Town Like Leatherhead' / 'University'79'

These brand new recordings features for the first time in 30 years the original line up of Greg Wilson, Kevin Abbott, Terry Bennett and Colin Wales. The title for the EP comes from some tongue in cheek banter between Greg and Kevin during rehearsals for the Head reunion tour in 2008, as they tried to sum up the meaning of their music for the 21st Century!

The EP features 'Celebrity Bashing' new song 'I'm Over It' plus three classic Head songs from 1981; 'The Answer Is Not With Me': 'My Girlfriend Says' (with backing vocals by Bethany Abbott, Helena Bennett and Jane Wilson) and 'No Way' which were never put down on tape back then.  Recording took place over a 3 day period in May, at Panther Studios, owned by former bass player with Ten Pole Tudor and now record producer Dick Crippen.  

The EP is available in a limited edition vinyl pressing of 300 only. The release from Detour lovingly recreates, complete with replica 'Head Sticker', the classic Ellie Jay label of The Head's original 1980 release 'Nothing To Do In A Town Like Leatherhead' / 'University'79'

This vinyl release is surely to become a collectors item in years to come!
